Numerology MethodsThis page will demonstrate the different type of Numerology Calculation
Systems that are used, and explain the calculation methods used by The Dreamtime when creating a Professional
Numerology Reading.

There are many forms of Numerological calculation systems. When determining
which method works best for you, you should spend time testing and doing readings with each method to find
which one you are most comfortable with and then learn to refine and perfect that method until it becomes
your own unique method of Numerological interpretation.
There are many Numerological systems which have been passed down from time
immemorial, since the beginning of the use of Numbers. Most of them follow the same way path of valuing
letters and numbers according to the position which they fall in the alphabet, and the sound which is created
by the human voice when annunciating that particular letter. If we are to trace the system back to it's
origin, it would have to be to the very earliest continent of Mu, which would have passed the system on to
the Egyptians, who then in turned would have passed it on to the Greeks, Hebrews, etc. Surprisingly if we
arrange the modern Western alphabet in a similar fashion, we find that the alignment of letters/sounds to
values is quite acceptable! It approximates almost exactly the Hebrew system, which is one of the first
systems where there is an actual documentation of the sounds and values of each letter, as well as a
spiritual attribute assigned to each sound which is pronounced. Following the Hebrew tradition, the entire
Bible was written without the use of Vowels, since the vowels contain the 'essence' or God like attribute of
each spoken verse and cannot be written. If you think about it, no words would be pronouncable at all without
vowels!
One system which does fall outside of the normal valuation system is the
Chaldean. For some reason unknown to me there is a belief among some people that the Chaldean system is
correct since it values it's letters based on sound, and because it does NOT use the number nine, since it is
sacred and meant to contain all other numbers. It seems that if this is the case, then why would the Chaldean
system use the exact same desciptions for the 1-9, 11, 22 numeric values that are used by the Pythagoreans
and by the Kabbalistic systems? Also, contrary to widely held beliefs the Western System does very neatly
assign the sounds to the values, and nearly identically with the Kabbalistic system! The Western system is
almost identical with the system used by the Babylonians since at least the Eighth Century BC!
Doing your own calculations
First, let's start with your Birth Date and do those calculations.
To calculate your Life Path Number, write down your birthdate and total up the
digits of each number (month, day and year) in your Birthdate separately, do not reduce 11's or 22's.
Continue to add the digits of these three numbers together until you have one number between 1 and 55.
Life Path Number Example:If you were born
on November 14th, 1965, 12/15/1965, then you would add:
Month = 11 (do NOT reduce),
Day = 1 + 4 = 5,
Year = 1 + 9 + 6 + 5 = 21 = 3,
so this equals 11 + 5 + 3 = 19/10/1 (19 is the Life Path, 10 is the 1 + 9 reduced and 1 is the 1 + 0
reduced). In this example the Life Path Number is 19 (the 10/1 after the slash indicate
that the 19 can be reduced to 1+9=10 which can also be reduced to 1+0=1).

To calculate your Foundational Number, write down your birthdate and total up the digits of each number in
your Birthdate, until you have one total. Continue to add the digits of this number together until you have a
number between 1 and 10, or the number 11 or 22 (which are master numbers).
Foundational Number Example:If you were
born on December 15th, 1965, 12/15/1965, then you would add
1 + 2 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 5 = 30 = 3 + 0 = 3In this example the Foundational Number is 3.

To calculate your Yearly Cycle number for this year, write down your Birthdate Month and Day and add this
to the Current Year and reduce this to a number from 1-9.
Yearly Cycle Number Example:If you were
born on December 15th, 1965, 12/15/1965, then your Current Yearly Cycle would be 12/15/1998 for 1998, so add
as follows:
1 + 2 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 8 = 36 = 3 + 6 = 9In this example the Yearly Cycle number for 1998 is 9.
To calculate your Monthly Cycle number for the current month we add the
Personaly Yearly Cycle number to the current month number:
Monthly Cycle Number Example:with the
current year of 9 from above, to calculate your Current Month Cycle we add 9 to the month number of the
current month (1 for January, 2 for February, etc.... up to 12 for December). For January we would add as
follows:
9 + 1 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1In this example the Monthly Cycle number for January is 1. Each subsequent
Monthly Cycle number will increase by one until the Monthly Cycle number is 9. After a 9 Monthly Cycle number
month, the following monthly cycle number will be 1, and so on again repeating up to 9, etc.

To calculate your Gateways there are two steps and 4 different Gateway Ages to calculate. The first step of
calculating the Gateways is to determine the ages in which you will pass through each gateway. To do this subtract
your Foundational Number from 36 to get the age when you will pass through your first gateway.
Gateway Ages Example:If the Foundational Number is 3 as in the Foundational
Number example above we subtract 3 from 36 to get 33; the age of the first Gateway. The following Gateways run in 9
year increments, so the second Gateway will occur at 42 years of age, the third Gateway at 51 years of age and the
4th and final Gateway will occur from 60 years of age until death.
Now we must calculate the Attainments or Lessons which will be learned when passing through each 9 year Gateway
period. The calculation is different for each Gateway, follow the example below carefully.
Gateway Attainment Number Example:The
First Gateway Attainment is calculated by adding the Month and Date of the Birthdate together and reducing
the number to a value from 1 to 10 or 11 or 22 (Master Numbers). In our example below we will use the same
Birthdate from our Examples above of December 15, 1965.
1 + 2 + 1 + 5 = 9 In this example the First Gateway Attainment Number is 9 and it will occur at
the First Gateway Age of 33 (from the Gateway Age example above) and last until the age of 41.
The Second Gateway Attainment is calculated by adding the Date and Year of the Birthdate together and reducing the
number to a value from 1 to 10 or 11 or 22 (Master Numbers). In our example below we will use the same Birthdate
from our Examples above of December 15, 1965.
1 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 5 = 27 = 2 + 7 = 9In this example the Second Gateway Attainment Number is 9 and it will occur at
the Second Gateway Age of 42 (from the Gateway Age example above) and last until the age of 50. In this
example you can see that some Gateway numbers may repeat themselves particularly if that person has an
Attainment lesson to learn which is extremely important.
The Third Gateway Attainment is calculated by adding the First and Second Attainment Numbers together and reducing
the number to a value from 1 to 10 or 11 or 22 (Master Numbers). In our example below we will use the same
Birthdate from our Examples above of December 15, 1965 and the first two gateways numbers of 9.
9 + 9 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9In this example the Third Gateway Attainment Number is 9 and it will occur at
the Third Gateway Age of 51 (from the Gateway Age example above) and last until the age of 59.
The Fourth Gateway Attainment is calculated by adding the Month and Year of the Birthdate together and reducing the
number to a value from 1 to 10 or 11 or 22 (Master Numbers). In our example below we will use the same Birthdate
from our Examples above of December 15, 1965.
1 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 5 = 24 = 2 + 4 = 6In this example the Fourth Gateway Attainment Number is 6 and it will occur at
the Fourth Gateway Age of 60 (from the Gateway Age example above) and last until death.

The remaining calculations must be determined by assigning Numeric values to each letter and by using these
assignments when determining the value of the Number that we are calculating. At the dreamtime we use the
Pythagorean system of calculation, for more information on why this is so, see our sections on Numerology History
and the beginning of this section on Numerology Methods.

Use the value table above to calculate the following Numerology values by
looking up the corresponding letters of your First, Last and Middle names as indicated below.
To calculate your Soul Urge write down the numeric values of all of the Vowels
in your First Name (as it is used in day-to-day conversation, note that some Numerologists may use your First
and Last name or even your Birth Certificate names for this calculation, but after testing we found that the
most vibrationally correct method uses the First Name only) and total up the digits of each number
until you have one total. Continue to add the digits of this number together until you have a number between
1 and 10, or the number 11 or 22 (which are master numbers).
Soul Urge Example:If your name was
Lawrence, and you went by Larry in day-to-day conversation, then you would add up the numeric values for the
one vowel 'a' that occurs in Larry (sometimes 'y' is a vowel also such as in the name Lynn, but not in this
case).
1 is the value of 'a' soIn this example the Soul Urge Number is 1.

To calculate your Heart's Desire write down the numeric values of all of vowels in your First and Last Name
(as it is used in day-to-day conversation, note that some Numerologists may use your First, Last and Middle name or
even your Birth Certificate names for this calculation, but after testing we found that the most vibrationally
correct method uses the First Name and Last Name only) and total up the digits of each number until you have
one total. Continue to add the digits of this number together until you have a number between 1 and 10, or the
number 11 or 22 (which are master numbers).
Heart's Desire Example:If your name was
Larry Smith in day-to-day conversation, then you would add up the numeric values for the vowels 'a' and 'i'
that occur in Larry and in Smith.
1 + 9 = 10 In this example the Heart's Desire Number is 10.

To calculate your Outer Expression write down the numeric values of all of the consonants in your First
Name (as it is used in day-to-day conversation, note that some Numerologists may use your First, Last and Middle
name or even your Birth Certificate names for this calculation, but after testing we found that the most
vibrationally correct method uses the First Name only) and total up the digits of each number until you have
one total. Continue to add the digits of this number together until you have a number between 1 and 10, or the
number 11 or 22 (which are master numbers).
Outer Expression Example:If your name was
Larry in day-to-day conversation, then you would add up the numeric values for the consonants 'L', 'r', 'r',
'y' that occur in Larry.
3 + 9 + 9 + 7 = 28 = 2 + 8 = 10 In this example the Outer Experssion is 10.
